Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Aemous (“we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects the information you provide when using our Service.
Information We Collect
We collect the information needed to run the Service and the features you turn on:
- Account data — your email address, username, and, if you provide them, your name and organization name.
- Security and log data — the IP address and session details recorded when you sign in (used to enforce one active session per account), request logs, and an audit record of actions our staff take on your account.
- Billing data — payments are processed by PayPal. We store subscription and transaction identifiers and the amounts paid; Aemous never sees or stores your card number.
- Profile data you create — the identities you build for your browser profiles (names, email addresses and passwords, phone numbers, postal addresses, notes), the proxy credentials attached to them, and each profile’s device and fingerprint settings. These are stored so a profile launches the same way every time, on every machine you sign in from.
- Messages on Aemous inboxes — emails and SMS delivered to Aemous-provided addresses and numbers, including their content, so they can be shown in your inbox and used for one-time codes. If you connect an Outlook mailbox, we store the forwarding rules you set up and copies of the messages those rules forward.
- Decision Helper data — when the feature is on, the browser sends cart details, order confirmations, failed checkouts, and a screenshot of the page for approval and tracking.
- Contact requests — the email address, WhatsApp number, and message you submit through the contact form.
We do not collect your browsing history, the pages you visit inside profile tabs, or the traffic that passes through your proxies.
How We Use Your Data
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
- Process payments and manage your subscription and proxy orders.
- Send transactional emails (sign-in codes, password resets, invitations, receipts, proxy order notifications).
- Power the features you turn on, such as Aemous Signal event analysis, Tracker sheets, Discord approvals, and Outlook forwarding.
- Respond to support requests.
- Detect and prevent abuse, account sharing, and violations of our Terms of Service.
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell it to third parties.
Data Sharing
We share data only with the service providers needed to operate the Service, and only the data each one needs:
- PayPal — payment processing and subscription management.
- Mailgun — delivery of our transactional emails and receipt of mail sent to Aemous-provided inbox addresses.
- Microsoft — the Microsoft Graph API, only for Outlook or Hotmail mailboxes you choose to connect.
- Proxy networks (RichProxies, IPRoyal) — the providers behind the Aemous proxy networks receive the connection metadata needed to route your profiles’ traffic.
- SMS providers (SMSPass, TextChest, Kopeechka) — when you use SMS numbers for verification codes.
- AI providers (Anthropic, Perplexity, OpenAI) — event and listing text for Aemous Signal analysis and the inputs used to generate profile details. Your account data is not sent to them.
- Google — address geocoding for generated profiles, and Google Sheets through a script you install into your own spreadsheet when you use the Tracker integration.
- Discord — only if you connect a Discord server, to post approval requests and order confirmations there.
- GitHub — hosts the browser downloads; GitHub receives your IP address when you download.
- Hosting — our servers run on Hetzner infrastructure in the European Union.
If you connect your own accounts (for example an IPRoyal, Proxy Labs or SMS provider account), we store the credentials you enter so we can operate that integration for you.
We never sell your personal data. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Aemous and its users.
Data Retention
- Account and profile data — kept while your account exists and for 90 days after deletion, then permanently removed.
- Inbox email and SMS — 30 days from receipt.
- Decision Helper screenshots — 30 days. Order and approval records stay with your account.
- Aemous Signal analyses — 30 days.
- Payment webhook records — 90 days; billing records may be kept longer as required by law.
- Request logs — purged on a rolling 30-day basis.
Security
All data is encrypted in transit using TLS. Access to personal data is restricted to authorised Aemous staff on a need-to-know basis, and staff actions on customer accounts are logged. In the unlikely event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you promptly and take immediate steps to mitigate harm.
Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, or to request deletion of your account, contact us at support@aemous.com.
California residents may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information is collected and the right to opt out of its sale (we do not sell personal information).
Cookies and Local Storage
The Aemous dashboard uses a session cookie and your browser’s local storage to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. This website uses local storage only. The PayPal checkout loads PayPal’s own payment script, which may set PayPal cookies under PayPal’s privacy policy.
We do not use advertising cookies, analytics trackers, or cross-site tracking. You can clear cookies and local storage in your browser settings, but you will need to sign in again.
